Guwahati, October 29, 2014: At a meeting convened by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi today, Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and his Nagaland counterpart TR Zeliang agreed to maintain peace and harmony in the border areas, and, on the boundary dispute, both the Chief Ministers agreed to abide by the directive of the Supreme Court.

According to an official press release here, the Union Home Minister urged both the Chief Ministers to maintain people-to-people contacts along the inter-State border to strengthen peace and harmony.

At the meeting held in his office chamber, the Union Home Minister underscored the need for people-to-people contacts between the neighbouring States for maintaining peace and harmony along the inter-state border.
