Dimapur, August 29, 2014: Nagaland Singing Ambassadors will be representing India at a choral festival in Brussels, Belgium this November. This festival: 1000 Voices for Peace, is in commemoration of the centenary of the World War 1.

In this festival the NSA will tackle choral and orchestral works by the renowned Polish composer and conductor Krzysztof Penderecki.

This was announced during the recently concluded North-East Film Festival held at the Siri Fort Auditorium in New Delhi wherein Nagaland Singing Ambassadors performed and wowed the capital’s audiences.

The film festival entitled “Fragrance of the East,” sponsored by the Indian Government through the Directorate of Film Festival, invited the up and coming performing group to grace the closing ceremony of the film festival.

The Nagaland Singing Ambassadors is the performing wing of the Nagaland Conservatory of Music.

Founded by Lipokmar Tzudir in 2010 and since have been travelling around India for performances and Choral concerts.In 2013, the group have been invited to perform and concertise in most of the key cities and provinces of Norway.

Under the strong and dedicated guidance of Tzudir the group was able to build a gamut of repertoire in various genres; from classical to gospel and folktunes to pop. With this wide variety of Music, NSA was able to capture large audiences in and around Nagaland.

To date, due Tzudir's appointment as NEZCC director the baton and musical directorship was passed on to Nagaland Conservatory of Music Administrator Noel de la Rosa.

Noel de la Rosa is a formidable pianist and conductor trained and schooled both in his native country, the Philippines, and later, in Austria. With his vast experiences in his performing life, Noel continues to uphold excellence and greatness in performance as instilled by Tzudir with the NSA.
