This Act is clearly defined in Section 1 of the Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Amendment Act, 2012 as this Act may be called as the Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Amendment Act, 2012, said the memorandum. Hence, there should not be any change in the reservation system and should follow as usual that is, 7.5 pc for ST, 15 pc for SC and 27 pc for OBC. Moreover, Manipur University must be administered according to the law as laid down by the Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Amendment Act, 2012 without favouritism and nepotism to any section of the society, so as to avoid any legal controversy and bring a good academic atmosphere in the University, failing which, the Manipur University SC and OBC Students has planned several steps to be taken up if necessary, asserted GS of MU(SC/OBC)SU, Yengkhom Rajiv Singh.<br /> <br /> Source: The Sangai Express<br />
