Moreh, October 29, 2014: A Primary Health Centre (PHC) located under Tengnoupal subdivision and Moreh subdivision will render 24 hour service from today.
D Korungthang, MLA, Tengnoupal Assembly Constituency inaugurated the new service during a function held today. The 24/7 was initiated under the auspices of Dr O Ibomcha Singh, Director, Health Services cum director National Rural Health Mission, Manipur in order to provide proper medical assistance to the people.
D Korungthang, chief guest of the function, appealed the staff of the PHC to deliver proper service considering the need of the public. He added that though the PHC is located at the border area of Myanmar, the 24 hour service will also help the neighbouring people to a great extent.
N Birchandra Singh, CMO, Chandel and L Kiran Kumar, SDO, Tengnoupal, Dr K Loken, Addl Director (MD), Dr Shanon Shario, Addl Director, DHS, Dr Awor Luikham, Joint Director, DHS and Robin Tangkhul, MDC also attended the function as the president and guests of honour.
Required medical equipment were also installed during the function.
