The Union Joint Secretary (Home) would hold talks with the State Government apart from making a direct assessment of the situation prevailing in Manipur.
On the other hand, a meeting of the combined headquarters was held today with Chief Minister O Ibobi in the chair.
Top-ranking officials of Army, Assam Rifles, Manipur Police, BSF and CRPF were present at the meeting and they reviewed the State’s law and order situation.
This was followed by another meeting convened by the DGP and it discussed about stepping up security measures across the State particularly along National Highways.
The meeting was participated by the ADGP and IGPs.
