The victim was rescued by relatives and people of the locality after she was held captive by one Mirlong Senar, security guard of the Karbi Langpi hydro electric project.
According to the parents of the girl, the accused Mirlong Senar lured the girl by making false promise of marrying her following which the girl ran away from home and reached Amtrang.
Ironically, the would-be-groom instead of marrying her lock up her inside a room of his living quarter for ten days and exploited her sexually.
The girl has registered a case against Mirlong Senar in Baithalangso police station. Meanwhile, the accused has denied all charges.
