Mother of two charred to death

Itanagar, September 21, 2014: n a tragic incident, a 23-year-old woman, identified as Gyamar Rupa, also a mother of two children, was reportedly charred to death in a fire accident that occurred at Upper Damsite in Naharlagun last evening, police sources said. The cause of the fire that took place at around 7.30 pm is yet to be ascertained.

Police said that the kutcha house was completely gutted before the fire brigade personnel reached due to the remoteness of the place. The victim was inside the house along with her children when the incident occurred. The children, however, managed to escape the blaze.

A team of All Nyishi Students’ Union (ANSU) leaders who visited the fire accident site has demanded the concerned authority to release ex-gratia and relief materials to the victim’s family at the earliest.
