Tura, October 13, 2014: A 42 year-old police officer was arrested early morning today after allegations of molestation by three girls in Williamnagar town. The police officer is a Reserve Inspector in the Williamnagar Police Reserve and has been identified as Alarick J Sangma.
According to the FIR based on the complaint of the three girls, including two minors, Sangma had picked up the girls from Tura at about 5.30 pm last evening and reached Williamnagar by 8.30 pm. He then took them to his house. The girls left his house at about 12.30 am today and immediately called a friend to complain of being molested by the inspector.
Apparently, the accused inspector called the Officer in charge stating that there was a ruckus outside his house. The incident came to light when the girls related the events to the officer who came out to check.
