Nagaland girl allegedly raped by Nigerian in Delhi

New Delhi, October 27, 2014: A girl from North-East on Monday alleged that she was raped by a Nigerian man in Northwest Delhi’s Mukherjee Nagar area.

The 22-year-old victim, who hails from Nagaland, lodged a complaint with Delhi police and stated that she was allegedly raped by the 34-year-old Nigerian on the pretext of getting her job in the national capital.

However, talking to UNI, Mukherjee Nagar SHO Veer Singh said the girl was in a live-in relationship with the man since December 2013.

“When the man refused to marry her, she filed a complaint that he raped her. We have arrested the man last night and are investigating the whole matter further,” he added.
