Imphal, September 06, 2014 : JCILPS Task Force Committee along JCILPS Women's Wing and Students' Wing pulled up 16 non-locals during different drives conducted in the past 48 hours, said DK Moirangcha Co-Convener of JCILPS in a press conference held today evening at their office.

He said that as per the announcement made earlier, the newly formed committee carried out the drives and pulled up these non-locals, who did not possess proper verification and identity proof documents.

10 such non-locals were detected at Telipati area yesterday, he said and added that all the rent owners were also advised not to provide room/house to non-locals who do not possess valid identity proof documents.

The Committee had also cautioned them to be responsible for any eventuality if they continue to do so, he added.

DK Moirangcha said, in similar drives, three non-locals were pulled up from Tera Bazar, one from Naoremthong and two from Khongman.

He also said that one business agent from Singjamei has failed to be present at the office of JCILPS despite the information given to him.

Action might be initiated against the said person if he fails to come at JCILPS office by September 8, DK Moirangcha cautioned.
