New Delhi, September 29, 2014 (NNN): An online "Music Talent Hunt" was launched on September 25 jointly by the Delhi-based NESCH, NEIFAR, Delhi Police, AT&T and 24x7 Frontier TV and entries would be closed on October 15.

The objective of the talent hunt is to create awareness and bridge the social gap among people from the North East and other parts of India.

The organizers would shortlist young artistes from an online competition.

The participants are to post video recording of two songs from the band - 'Skid Row' on the Facebook account of NESCH (North East Support Centre and Helpline) which will be uploaded on YouTube by the organisers.

The participants would be judged by a panel of five eminent judges.

One among them would be Sebastian Bach, a name known to all music lovers and the lead singer of SKID ROW - a USA-based rock star who has sold over 20 million records globally.

He has been rated in the top 10 amongst vocalists in the world by Axl Rose and Steven Tyler and is considered as one of the finest vocalists of his generation.

The winner of the competition would be awarded certificates and felicitated by Sebastian Bach.

The grand finale would be held on October 27 in Delhi.

The winner of the talent hunt would be given an opportunity to perform at the finale wherein Sebastian Bach will perform with his band.

Meanwhile, a movie based on the dramatic story of a Northeast boy and girl in love - Delhi Mellei - will be released in November this year.

The story depicts the life-story of the two lovers who went to Delhi for higher studies and who faced racial discrimination everyday and became alienated though staying in the capital city of India.

The naive NE girl who finally succumbed to Delhi's short-lived glamorous enticements betrayed her lover, culture, and morality while her parents back home are unaware of her wild life.

The movie featuring Bonny Gurumayum and Bala Hijam is directed by Ajit Ningthouja, written by Mxn Raj and Maheiba Moirangcha and produced by Bishoya Potshangbam.

The movie, in Manipuri, would have an English sub-title.
