Dimapur, October 13, 2014 (NNN): Rubbishing media reports which was published a few days back, an NSCN-IM source said today that the meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the outfit leaders will take place soon.

Earlier, a news agency had reported that the much hyped meeting between the Prime Minister and the NSCN (IM) leaders would not take place. The Naga outfit instead would hold talks with New Delhi's interlocutor for Naga peace talk RN Ravi.

"We will be meeting the Prime Minister soon," a well placed source from the NSCN-IM informed Newmai News Network.

The NSCN-IM team will first meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi then only the 'formal dialogue' will start, according to the source from the NSCN-IM.

It is worth recalling here that a 10-member team of the NSCN-IM had left Dimapur on September 20 for New Delhi on the invitation of the Government of India. NSCN-IM chairman Isak Chisi Swu and the outfit general secretary Thuingaleng Muivah led the team.
