“The State Government will institute a judicial probe into the killing of school student Priya Basumatary,” said an official announcement from the Chief Minister’s office.
Earlier in the day, the Parliamentary Affairs Minister said in the Legislative Assembly, “The Chief Minister has decided to hold a judicial probe into the killing of Priya Basumatary by NDFB(S) militants. The inquiry will look into all the related aspects of the murder.”
