Imphal, September 19, 2014: Chief Minister O Ibobi today flagged off four ambulances for use in border areas of Chandel, Churachandpur and Ukhrul district under Border Area Development Programme (BADP).
The ambulances which constitute key components of mobile health service were flagged off from the Chief Minister’s office this afternoon.
While Ukhrul and Churachandpur district got one ambulance each, Chandel got two including one advanced life support ambulance.
The ambulances were provided under the scheme for establishment of mobile health units in border areas under BADP 2011-12. The total cost of the four ambulances is around Rs 77 lakh.
The flag-off function was also attended by Chief Secretary PC Lawmkunga, Principal Secretary (Planning) Barun Mitra and high-ranking officials of Planning Department.
