Sharmila remanded

Imphal, September 19, 2014: Irom Chanu Sharmila was today produced before the JMIC Lamphelpat and remanded to judicial custody till October 3. It was her second appearance in the Court after her latest arrest.

She was recently released from judicial custody following a decree passed by the District and Sessions Court.

The Court had rejected the charge of attempt to commit suicide, levelled against her by police.
