CCPur, August 21, 2014: The Narcotic Control Bureau in collaboration with a team of the 7th Assam Rifles seized a consignment containing cocaine which arrived at the Churachandpur Post office yesterday evening around 3.30.

Sources said the combined team was led by Narcotics SP, Churachandpur Robinson Gangte.

The team had been on the consignment’s trail since past one and a half month said the source continuing further that the consignment arrived in the name of residents of Thingkangphai and D Phailian of Lamka and had originated from Trinidad and Tobago.

The consignment was found packed in an aluminium foil and made to look like a photo frame and weigh 1.550 kg, informed the source.

Confirming the report, the SP said investigation was on and he is hopeful of making more headway in the days to come.
