Imphal, August 28, 2014: Denouncing the inordinate delay in declaration of results for recruitment of nurses by the State Health department, All Manipur ANM, GNM Written Test Faced Association has warned the government of launching agitations and taking legal remedies, if the results are not announced by August 31.

This was stated by the secretary of the Association, Keisham Nanao during a press meet held at Manipur Press Club here on Wednesday.

Nanao informed reporters that Director of Health Services, Government of Manipur conducted the written test for recruitment of 200 ANM and 21 GNM nurses on August 18 in 2013.

However, the results have not been announced till date.

Saying that the written test was conducted in collaboration with Optical Magnetic Recognition and other firms outside the state, Nanao pointed out that around 10,000 candidates appeared for the ANM and GNM posts.

Each candidate was charged Rs. 600 during form submission, she said.

As the results are kept pending over a year, many of the candidates are going to face age-bar now, Nanao pointed out, while warning the state government that legal actions shall be taken for the inordinate delay in the recruitment process.
