Imphal, September 19, 2014: Binodkumar's mother, Irom Rashi has appealed to the authorities concerned to find out the real culprit behind the cyber crime in which Binodkumar has been allegedly held responsible.

Irom Rashi denied her son's involvement in the cyber crime. She claimed that her son had nothing to do with the cyber crime after giving away the compensation of Rs 2.5 lakh to the victim at the intervention of the Women Against Crime in the first instance.

Speaking to mediapersons during a press meet held at Manipur Press Club today, Irom Rashi said that her son, Binodkumar and the girl eloped under a mutual understanding to get married following the Meitei custom.

However, after the elopement, the girl's parents disapproval of the marriage made her son quite dejected.

He even tried to commit suicide out of depression. A settlement has already been brought about after her son admitted that due to his acute frustration he had released the video clipping of their private moment.

During the settlement, he had even assured that he would not release the video again.

A compensation of Rs 2.5 lakh along with the video clipping was handed over to the girl as agreed in the settlement under Women Against Crime. Later, after the settlement the girl complained to the police that the video has been released again by Binodkumar.

Binodkumar was rearrested on August 31 for allegedly releasing the video again. He is still in custody on the basis of her complaint, she added.

Binodkumar's mother claimed that her son had nothing to do with the second release and the police must re-investigate the case so that the real culprit could be arrested.
