Gov announces discontinuance of ‘His Excellency’

Imphal, September 18, 2014: Governor’s Secretariat, Raj Bhawan has given a circular that Dr Krishan Kant Paul, Governor of Manipur has approved the discontinuance of the salutation ‘His Excellency’ while organising functions within the State, and the salutation will continue in interaction with foreign dignitaries.

It is further stated that in the ceremonial occasions in the State, the Governor desires to use ‘Hon’ble Governor’ in the future practice, where currently the salutation ‘His Excellency’ is used.
