Enriched with plenty of species of organism the state bears three to four type of big snake species ranging from sub-himalayan type to high altitude ones.
In one such occasion the locals sighted a dead Python (Himalayan Rock Python) at bank of river Teesta , specification of Python was 12 feet long, 1.6 feet circumference The amazing creature was sighted at Bardang in West Pandam.
The locals after sighting the unusual serpent informed Wild Life Department of Forest where the Authority comprising of Block Office OM Gurung took creature with them.
