Dimapur, September 19, 2014: Assam Rifles troops have busted an illegal arms factory run by a former NSCN (K) cadre at Noksen village in Tuensang district of Nagaland and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition.
The recoveries included 10 arms and around 100 rounds of assorted ammunition. Besides, a large number of weapons under manufacture were seized along with weapon-making tools, an Assam Rifles release said today.
The ex-NSCN (K) cadre, who has been running the illegal arms factory, was arrested on September 16 and handed over to Noksen Police Station along with the seized weapons.
In another incident, Assam Rifles troops apprehended five NSCN (K) cadres with weapons at Ngangting under Tuensang district in the early hours of September 18.
