Imphal, September 9, 2014: The Sixth Foundation Day celebration of the Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Regional Campus, Manipur was held today at Amity Hall, Adimjati Complex, Chingmeirong, Imphal.
The programme was attended by Retd Prof and Academician, Gangmumei Kamei; Commissioner of Hr and Technical Education Manipur, P Vaiphei and Vice-Chancellor of IGNTU, Amarkantak (MP), Prof TV Kattimani as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
While speaking as the chief guest of the function, Prof Gangmumei Kamei asserted that the people of Manipur are very fortunate to have IGNTU-RCM established in Manipur.
Timely announcement of their examination results and issuance of certificates are very crucial for the students during the learning process, he said.
Assuring to minimise the shortcomings of the IGNTU-RCM, Prof TV Kattimai said that the students of the university must work harder.
TV Kattimai added that the authority concerned would make sure that the mistakes done in the past are not repeated in the future.
The celebration culminated with Rongmei traditional dance performance.
